Job summary

int transportation is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to implement, monitor, and evaluate OHS programs in accordance with DOLE standards. You will conduct daily inspections, identify hazards, and perform risk assessments across sites and equipment.

You will lead toolbox talks, safety orientations and ongoing awareness programs for workers and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety permits and JHAs. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of experience in a safety-related role (construction/manufacturing/industrial).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related technical field.
• Completed 40-hour DOLE COSH or BOSH training.
• Strong communication, coordination and report-writing skills.
• Demonstrated strong work ethics.
• Project-based employment.
• Willing to work six days per week.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating occupational health and safety (OHS) programs in compliance with DOLE standards
• Conduct daily safety inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments of work areas, equipment, and project sites.
• Facilitate daily toolbox meetings, safety orientations for new hires, and regular OHS awareness programs for workers and contractors.
• Ensure the workplace strictly adheres to DOLE occupational safety and health standards, including managing safety permits and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Investigate workplace accidents or near-misses, analyze root causes, and prepare safety reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and management to resolve safety concerns and promote a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• With at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a safety-related role, particularly in construction, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
• With Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related technical field.
• Completed mandatory 40-hour DOLE-prescribed Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) or Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training.
• Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• With strong work ethics.
• This is a project-based employment.
• Willing to work for six (6) days per week.
