A construction company is seeking a Secretary for the Health and Safety Committee in Tarlac City. This full-time position involves advising on health and safety matters, conducting inspections, and coordinating safety training programs. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee.
• Conduct health and safety inspections.
• Coordinate health and safety training programs.
• Coordinates health and safety training programs for employees and employer.
• Conducts health and safety inspections.
• Maintains accident records and coordinates corrective actions with supervisors.
• Reports to top management when full-time safety personnel are required.
• Coordinates with HR on subordinates hindering safety.
• Facilitates toolbox meetings with Project Manager and Project Engineer.
• Ensures proper PPE usage and site cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serves as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee.


• Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and the workers.


• Conducts investigation of accidents as member of the Health and Safety Committee and submits a separate report and analysis of accidents to the employer.


• Coordinates all health and safety training programs for the employees and employer.


• Conducts health and safety inspection.


• Maintains and helps in the maintenance of an efficient accident record system and coordinates actions taken by supervisors to eliminate accident causes.


• For purposes of effectiveness in workplace where full-time safety man is required, he shall report directly to the top management.


• Coordinate with the HR Officer regarding erring subordinates that hinders to promote safety.


• Facilitates toolbox meeting together with Project Manager and Project Engineer.


• Ensures cleanliness and awareness regarding the use of complete PPE among employees at the jobsite.


• Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferably with experience on the same position in a construction setting.


• With COSH certification.


• Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Standards.


• With experience in establishing a Construction Safety and Health Programs is preferred.


• Willing to be assigned in ANY project sites if needed.


• Physically and mentally healthy.
