Job summary

Waste Solutions & Management Services, Inc. is seeking an HSE professional to support workplace safety, policy updates, and regulatory compliance across project sites in Metro Manila.

The role focuses on ensuring safe tools and equipment, conducting compliance inspections, and assisting the HSE Manager with ISO initiatives. The successful candidate will maintain safety records, participate in incident reviews, and communicate improvement opportunities to Top Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing updated workplace policies and procedures compliant with DOLE and other regulations to ensure workplace safety
• Inspect workplaces and project sites for compliance with health and safety regulations; provide feedback on violations
• Ensure safe tools and equipment are available and properly maintained
• Assist HSE Manager to promote injury/illness prevention and provide OHS information to stakeholders at project sites
• Carry out targeted inspections to prevent harm and enforce policies
• Gather incident data with OSH Committee; perform immediate assessment and share reports with Top Management
• Maintain records of safety events, training, and drills
• Support ISO Management Representative role for ISO certificates; report improvements to Top Management
• Support compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

1. Assists in providing the workplace with updated policies and procedures in compliance with rules and regulations issued by DOLE and other government instrumentalities that guarantees safety in the workplace.

1. Inspects the workplaces and project sites to make sure that employees are compliant with health and safety regulations and providing feedback in the event of violations.

1. Makes sure that employees have and use safe tools and equipment and ensure that the equipment are properly maintained.

1. Assist the HSE Manager in encouraging measures that might prevent injuries and illness, providing OHS information to employer, employees and other stakeholders at the project site directly related to the project undertaken.

1. Carrying out targeted inspection to prevent harm and hold those responsible for breaking policies and procedures.

2. Gathers data in case of incidents/accidents together with other members of the OSH Committee. Conducts an immediate assessment and review meetings in case of an incident and submits reports promptly to Top Management for appropriate action.

1. Keeps records of all safety events, training, and drills.

1. Supports the HSE Manager in his role as the ISO Management Representative in the efficient implementation, control and integrity of the ISO certificate. Reports to Top Management regularly on opportunities of improvement on change requirements or innovations.

1. Supports full compliance and conformance to the ISO management standards 9001, 14001 & 45001

1. Performs other functions that maybe assigned from time to time.
