Job summary

SLF Management Resources, Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer for a Solar Project to ensure a safe working environment on site. The role involves implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting health and safety compliance on a 6-month assignment.

The ideal candidate will conduct trainings, risk assessments, and incident investigations, coordinating with site teams and subcontractors. Fresh graduates are welcome; COSH certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• COSH certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of occupational safety standards and compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Conduct safety trainings, toolbox talks, and orientations.
• Monitor compliance of tools and work practices (scaffolding, electrical, LOTO).
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and management on safety matters.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and drills.
• Support EHS Manager in safety program execution.

Job Description

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting compliance with health and safety standards. The role supports daily site operations by preventing accidents, managing risks, and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on site
• Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
• Identify risks and ensure immediate corrective actions
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports with recommendations
• Conduct safety trainings, toolbox meetings, and orientations
• Monitor compliance of tools, equipment, and work practices (scaffolding, electrical, LOTO, etc.)
• Prepare and maintain safety reports and documentation for compliance
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and management on safety matters
• Assist in emergency preparedness and drills implementation
• Support EHS Manager in overall safety program execution
