Job summary

Mevbuilt Incorporated is seeking a Safety Officer III to oversee site health and safety on a general construction project in Palawan. You will lead CSHP implementation, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior safety staff.

The role requires 3–5 years of construction safety experience, COSH training preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills. Expect active site inspections, risk assessments, and emergency drills with on-site coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be Safety Officer III with 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
• Prefer COSH training.
• Knowledge of RA 11058 and DO 198-18 (Philippine OSH law).
• Has 40 hours safety training related to construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP).
• Ensure compliance with DOLE, OSH, and other safety regulations and standards.
• Supervise and coordinate with Safety Officers I and II, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Conduct and document daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Lead safety toolbox meetings, orientations, and emergency drills.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Liaise with site management, contractors, and government bodies on safety concerns.
• Maintain and submit all required safety documentation and permits.
• Recommend and implement CAPAs.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and ensure availability.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and first aid on site.

The Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing and enforcing compliance with occupational health and safety standards on a general construction site. This role involves conducting risk assessments, implementing safety policies, leading safety audits and inspections, and ensuring that all site operations are conducted in a safe and legally compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of the project’s Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP).
• Ensure compliance with DOLE, OSH, and other applicable safety regulations and standards.
• Supervise and coordinate with Safety Officers I and II, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Conduct and document daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
