Job summary

Toyota Marilao, Bulacan, Inc. is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to support the dealer by applying safety programs and eliminating hazards. The role includes acting as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee and advising management on safety matters.

The candidate should have a relevant engineering or science degree, a basic OSH certification, and at least one year of related experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in engineering (Environment, Safety and Health/Mechanical, or Industrial), Medical Science or equivalent.
• Basic Occupational Safety and Health Certification; BLS and SFA Training an advantage.
• At least a year of relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in implementing basic occupational, health and safety programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the company’s principal assistant and consultant in applying programs to remove hazards and correct unsafe work practices.
• Serves as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee.
• Advises on health and safety matters for guidance of dealer principal and employees.
• Conducts accident investigations as a Health and Safety Committee member and submits reports and recommendations.
• Coordinates health and safety programs for employees and top management.
• Performs daily monitoring/patrol within dealership facilities.

What you'll be doing

1. Acts as the company’s principal assistant and consultant in the application of programs to remove the hazards from the workplace and to correct unsafe work practices.
2. Serves as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee.
3. Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the dealer principal and the employees.
4. Conducts investigation of accidents as member of the Health and Safety Committee and submits his separate report, analysis of accidents and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
5. Coordinates all health and safety programs for the employees and the top management.
6. Doing daily monitoring/ patrol within the facilities of the dealership.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree in engineering (Environment, Safety and Health/Mechanical, or Industrial), Medical Science or equivalent
• With Basic Occupational Safety and Health Certification; BLS and SFA Training an advantage
• With at least a year of relevant experience
• Knowledgeable in implementing basic occupational, health and safety programs and policies

• Physically fit to do tasks around the facility
