Job summary

SAN MIGUEL INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SERVICES, INC. (SMILSI) is seeking a qualified Safety Officer 3 to join our Cebu operation in Mandaue. The role focuses on maintaining OSH compliance, leading safety initiatives, and coordinating with management to foster a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year course or related field.
• Certified Safety Officer 3 (SO3) with the required OSH training and qualifications.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience as a Safety Officer 3.
• In-depth knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to ensure OSH compliance.
• Assist government inspectors during safety and health inspections, accident investigations, and OSH compliance activities.
• Issue Work Stoppage Orders (WSO) when necessary in accordance with OSH standards and procedures.
• Lead and support safety initiatives, including daily Toolbox Meetings (TBM), safety campaigns, and compliance programs.
• Conduct incident investigations, monitor corrective actions, and ensure timely closure of warehouse and transport-related incidents.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify safety risks, hazards, and non-compliance issues.
• Conduct safety studies, assessments, and benchmarking activities to improve overall safety performance.
• Provide safety training and awareness programs for warehouse and transport personnel.
• Coordinate with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
