Job summary

EPM Construction Inc. is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to implement and enforce safety policies on project sites in the Philippines.

You will conduct inspections, risk assessments, investigate incidents, and lead toolbox talks to foster a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or OSH, a Certified Safety Officer is preferred, and has knowledge of OH&S regulations, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Certified Safety Officer is preferred.
• Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations and construction safety standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and safety documentation.
• Willing to work on project sites and travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor daily site activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare corresponding reports.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Promote safety awareness and encourage a positive safety culture in the workplace.
• Ensure all personnel are properly informed of site safety requirements.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and incident documentation.
• Prepare and submit safety compliance reports to management and regulatory agencies when required.
• Monitor the validity of safety certifications, permits, and employee training records.
