Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables SONEDCO is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Officer to implement and monitor health and safety protocols across plant operations in the Philippines.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance with RA 11058 and DOLE standards, risk assessments, training, incident investigations, and continuous improvement to ensure a safe workplace for employees, contractors, and guests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• SO3 or equivalent safety certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of RA 11058 and DOLE standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs in line with regulations and OSH Law.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits; recommend corrective actions.
• Lead safety training, emergency drills, and safety awareness campaigns.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Monitor compliance with safety policies for employees and contractors.
• Prepare health and safety reports and liaise with regulators for inspections.
