Asticom Technology Inc in Tabaco, Albay is seeking qualified RPG Programmers (Junior & Senior) to design, develop, and optimize IBM i / AS400 applications using RPG IV, RPGLE, and CL.

Onsite with hybrid options based on project; requires a Bachelor's in CS/IT/CE. Juniors: 1–2 years; Seniors: 4+ years. Responsible for development, testing, and documentation; seniors provide mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/CE or related field.
• Junior level: 1–2 years RPG/AS400 experience; fresh graduates welcome with coursework exposure.
• Senior level: 4+ years hands-on RPG IV, RPGLE, Free-Form RPG, CL, and DB2/SQL on IBM i/AS400.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain IBM i/AS400 apps using RPG IV, RPGLE, and ILE concepts.
• Analyze existing programs, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into specs.
• Perform database management, DDS/SQL, and batch processing on AS400.
• Conduct unit and integration tests and document developed apps.
• Senior role: provide guidance, code reviews, and mentorship.

We are seeking qualified Junior and Senior RPG Programmers to join our software development team in Tabaco, Albay! The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing IBM i / AS400 applications and RPG-based enterprise systems.

• POSITION: RPG Programmer (Junior & Senior Levels Available)


• WORK LOCATION: Tabaco, Albay


• WORK SETUP: Onsite / Hybrid options based on project assignment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain IBM i / AS400 application software using RPG IV, RPGLE, and ILE concepts


• Analyze existing system programs, identify performance bottlenecks, and execute code optimizations or enhancements


• Collaborate with systems analysts and business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical specifications


• Perform database management, file definitions (DDS/SQL), and batch processing handling on AS400 platforms


• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and prepare technical documentation for developed applications


• (For Senior Role) Provide technical guidance, code review, and mentorship to junior software developers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields


• Experience for Junior Level: 1 to 2 years of experience in RPG / AS400 programming (Fresh graduates with strong exposure to RPG / AS400 coursework or internships are welcome to apply)


• Experience for Senior Level: At least 4+ years of hands-on experience in RPG IV, RPGLE, Free-Form RPG, CL, and DB2/SQL on IBM i / AS400 systems


• Technical Skills: Proficient in RPG IV, RPGLE, CL/CLLE, DB2/400, Subfiles, and AS400 utilities


• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills; able to work independently or in a team environment
