Job summary

A leading technology company in the Philippines is seeking an RPG Developer to execute the full lifecycle of product development by programming efficient and testable code. Responsibilities include developing new capabilities, participating in iterative development, and ensuring system reliability through testing and debugging. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in RPG/RPGLE/SQLRPGLE and a Bachelor's in Software Engineering or IT, with a willingness to work on-site in Pasay during weekdays.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience using JDA application.
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in RPG/RPGLE/SQLRPGLE, CLP on AS/400.
• Ability to write technical documentation.

Job description

We are seeking an RPG Developerto execute the full lifecycle of the product development, by programming well-designed, efficient, and testable code that meets specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop new capabilities and re-architect parts of an existing system.
• Take part in test-driven, iterative development, prototyping, and reviews with a team of developers.
• Design and code middle and back-end in a clean and efficient way.
• Develop and run unit and performance tests to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Review and debug code.
• Develops documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clean code to explain and show solutions.
• Determines and designs system specifications, standards, and programming to prepare and install solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field
• Having at least 2 years of experience using JDA application
• Having 3 to 5 yearsof work experience in RPG/RPGLE/SQLRPGLE, CLP on AS/400
• Experience with proper debugging tools and techniques of interactive and batch jobs.
• Expert skills and experience in data migration, integration and transformation methods
• Ability to write technical documentations
• Willing to work on-site at Pasayevery weekdays
