Private Advertiser in the Philippines seeks an experienced AS400/RPG professional to design and develop detailed code and configurations for the assigned IT application.

You will translate business requirements into testable specifications, write tests, and produce system and user documentation while supporting production when needed.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree and have 3+ years of AS400/RPG experience, with knowledge of core banking, EFT, and API interfaces.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree relevant to the job.
• At least 3 years as AS400/RPG professional capable of designing algorithms.
• Understand the high-level processes and Financial Core Banking, EFT and API interface expertise is a plus.
• Must have critical thinking skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities.
• Able to clearly articulate business requirements, functional requirements and non-functional requirements and other technical documentation as part of SDLC process.
• Able to translate requirements to testable requirements and write test cases and test outcome for each requirement.
• Ability to effectively communicate business needs to the technology teams.

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design for modules that need to be developed and align with the requirements and architecture

• Develops application code according to the agreed functional design, technical design, methodologies and standards

• Develops configuration/scripts according to the agreed functional design, technical design, methodologies and standards for package deployment

• Develops system & operational documentation and user guides

• Reports progress and issues in a timely manner to delivery manager

• Prepares package, configuration files, deployment scripts and installation guide for all environments

• Support production when necessary

About you

• Bachelor's degree relevant to the job

• At least 3 years of being AS400/RPG professional who is able to design algorithms and code for BDO Local Modifications programs to meet the ever-evolving demands of the business

• Understand the high-level processes and Financial Core Banking, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and API interface expertise is a plus

• Must have critical thinking skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities
