Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced AS400 RPG professional to design and code for BDO Local Modifications programs. The role requires understanding core banking processes, EFT and possible API interfaces, plus strong problem-solving and SDLC documentation skills.

The candidate will translate business requirements into testable specs, articulate needs to technology teams, and develop detailed designs.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of being AS400/RPG professional who is able to design algorithms and code for BDO Local Modifications programs to meet the ever-evolving demands of the business.
• Understand the high-level processes and Financial Core Banking, EFT and API interface expertise is a plus.
• Must have critical thinking skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities
• Able to clearly articulate business requirements, functional requirements and nonfunctional requirements and other technical documentation as part of SDLC process.
• Able to translate requirements to testable requirements and write test cases and test outcome for each requirement.
• Ability to effectively communicate business needs to the technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design for modules that need to be developed and align with the requirements and architecture
• Develops application code according to the agreed functional design, technical design, methodologies and standards
• Develops configuration/scripts according to the agreed functional design, technical design, methodologies and standards for package deployment
• Develops system & operational documentation and user guides
• Reports progress and issues in a timely manner to delivery manager
• Prepares package, configuration files, deployment scripts and installation guide for all environments
• Support production when necessary
