Job summary

Access Offshoring seeks an experienced Estimator & Project Coordinator to join its metal roofing team. This dual-role will manage accurate estimating and seamless project coordination from quotation through delivery, working closely with the Director, Project Manager and Leading Hand to ensure productive workloads and well-organised projects.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and construction documentation.
• Experience preparing material take-offs, supplier pricing, and job costings.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Experience using ServiceM8 or similar job management software.

Responsibilities

• Metal roofing estimates, take-offs and quotations.
• New metal roofs and roof replacements, including tile-to-metal and asbestos-to-metal conversions.
• Reading architectural plans, specifications and scopes of work.
• Material take-offs, supplier pricing and job costing.
• Creating colour-coordinated roof maps that clearly identify roof areas, flashings, gutters, downpipes and other relevant components.
• Communicating directly with clients regarding the projects they are estimating, including gathering information, answering questions and providing updates.
• Working closely with Director, Project Manager and Leading Hand.
• Organising equipment hire and coordinating material orders for upcoming projects.
• Assisting with scheduling and general project coordination when the estimating workload is quieter.
• Maintaining accurate job notes and project information in ServiceM8.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator & Project Coordinator to join our growing metal roofing team. This is a dual-purpose role combining accurate estimating with project coordination to ensure a consistent and productive workload throughout the year.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting projects from quotation through to delivery, working closely with our Director, Project Manager, Leading Hand, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are accurately estimated, well-organised, and efficiently executed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Metal roofing estimates, take-offs and quotations
• New metal roofs and roof replacements, including tile-to-metal and asbestos-to-metal conversions
• Reading architectural plans, specifications and scopes of work
• Material take-offs, supplier pricing and job costing
• Creating colour-coordinated roof maps that clearly identify roof areas, flashings, gutters, downpipes and other relevant components

Requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong understanding of roofing systems, flashings, gutters, downpipes, and associated materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and construction documentation.

Highly Desirable

• Experience creating colour-coded roof maps using roofing estimating software.
• Previous project coordination or construction administration experience.
• Experience coordinating suppliers, material orders, and equipment hire.
• Knowledge of Australian roofing products and installation practices.
