Position Summary:

Were on the lookout for an experienced Roofing Estimator to join our team. Your expertise will play a key role in helping us deliver accurate, competitive, and timely proposals to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed roofing estimates based on project plans and specifications.
• Analyze technical drawings to determine quantities, labor, and material requirements.
• Develop complete cost breakdowns for residential and commercial roofing projects.
• Provide cost-effective solutions and value engineering recommendations when needed.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather all necessary information for precise estimating.
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers and designers to ensure estimates align with project goals.

Project Support & Documentation

• Maintain thorough records of all quotes, proposals, and client correspondence.
• Assist in preparing and submitting tenders and bid packages.
• Support project progress tracking and flag cost deviations when they arise.

Cost Control & Reporting

• Monitor live projects to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
• Provide regular updates and insights on cost trends and discrepancies.
• Assist with compiling financial reports and cost analysis for current and upcoming work.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a roofing estimator, ideally within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with estimation software (experience with AppliCad Roof Wizard or similar tools is a plus, but not requiredtraining can be provided).
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, construction methods, and industry pricing.
• Confidence in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates at once.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
