Job summary

AGS Health Philippines, Inc is seeking a Medical Coder in Taguig (McKinley) for an onsite morning shift. The role focuses on accurate outpatient facility coding with a specialty in Surgery (SDS) and requires EPIC proficiency.

The successful candidate will analyze records, ensure proper CPT/ICD-10-CM coding, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and client guidelines, while meeting daily productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Active PHRN license (required).
• Active AHIMA or AAPC coding certification (required).
• At least 2 years of outpatient facility coding experience, surgical focus (SDS).
• Hands-on experience using EPIC and CPT/ICD-10-CM coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and physician notes to identify billable services and assign accurate CPT/ICD-10-CM codes.
• Review documentation and assign correct procedure charges, including modifiers where applicable.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, missing charges, and errors in the charge entry process.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, coding guidelines, HIPAA, and related requirements.
• Meet daily productivity targets and incorporate QA feedback to improve accuracy.
• Stay current with coding updates and participate in ongoing education and SLAs.

• At least 2 years of experience in Outpatient Facility Coding, specifically with Surgery (SDS)

• Handson experience using EPIC, CPT Codes / ICD-10-CM (required)

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records, physician notes, and other documentation to identify billable services and ensure accurate coding using appropriate (CPT, ICD, and HCPCS) codes.

• Review physician documentation and assign correct procedure charges, including CPT codes and applicable modifiers.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies, missing charges, and other errors in the charge entry process.

• Ensure compliance with client specifications, coding guidelines, Coding Clinics, HIPAA, and GRIC requirements.

• Consistently meet daily productivity targets and incorporate feedback provided by the quality assurance team.

• Stay current with coding updates and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) by actively participating in feedback sessions and ongoing education.
