Job summary

Staffing For Doctors is seeking a cheery, upbeat Registered Nurse to act as an Insurance Specialist / Medical Receptionist for a busy Orthopedics, Pain Medicine, and PM&R practice. The ideal candidate will have an active RN license, excellent English, and proven success in high-volume call handling and end-to-end insurance verification.

The role focuses on call management, patient conversion, scheduling, and payer navigation, with duties including provider calendar support and outreach.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Experience handling high-volume US medical office calls.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Deep understanding of insurance verification processes.
• 1+ year experience with EHR systems, preferably eCW.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound and outbound patient calls to drive production.
• Convert patient inquiries into booked appointments with consistent follow-up.
• Explain and verify insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility over the phone.
• Navigate payer plans (HMO/PPO, Medicare, Workers' Comp) as needed.
• Support scheduling, calendars, follow-ups, and outreach efforts.
