Job summary

MSCI Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Senior Associate for Risk Model Analytics Operations within the Analytics Factor Model team. You will own QA checks on model outputs, automate QA tasks with SQL and Python, and drive improvements through AI and process optimization.

You will collaborate with Research, Model Engineering, and Data teams across global offices to ensure accurate, timely deliveries and robust operational practices in a data-intensive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Min 3 years in data operations, production support or similar.
• Experience with operational transformation, automation and AI adoption.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency for data analysis and automation.
• Ability to manage production incidents end-to-end from triage to resolution.
• Understanding of data pipelines and model distribution workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute structured QA checks on model outputs and data pipelines.
• Drive QA enhancements including anomaly detection and reduction of false positives.
• Build SQL scripts and Python notebooks to automate recurring QA tasks.
• Investigate data discrepancies with Model Engineering and Research.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance QA workflows and workflows automation.
• Oversee daily production for multi-asset class factor models and ensure timely runs.
• Manage incidents end-to-end and document post-incident learnings.
• Maintain runbooks, escalation procedures, and SOPs to reduce time-to-resolution.
• Oversee distribution of factor model data to internal/external clients.
