Job summary

MSCI is seeking a Senior Associate for Risk Model Analytics Operations to own daily production of multi-asset class factor models and risk data. You’ll drive QA, data validation, incident management, and client delivery in a global, fast-paced setting.

You’ll collaborate with Research, Model Engineering, and Data teams to automate tasks, implement AI-driven improvements, and optimize runbooks and SOPs, ensuring high-quality model outputs for MSCI clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years of data operations, production support, or data-intensive financial services experience.
• Proven ability to identify and drive automation and AI adoption; improve workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data analysis, investigation, and automation.
• Experience resolving production incidents end-to-end, with root cause analysis.
• Understanding of data pipelines, model distribution workflows, and operational quality standards.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance operations and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; able to liaise with technical and client-facing teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Own daily production oversight for multi-asset class factor models; ensure runs complete accurately.
• Manage incidents end-to-end: triage, root cause analysis, stakeholder communication, post-incident docs.
• Maintain and improve runbooks, escalation procedures, and SOPs to reduce time-to-resolution.
• Oversee timely distribution of factor model data to internal and external clients across channels.
• Coordinate client delivery milestones and ensure SLA adherence for model packages.
• Collaborate with global counterparts to resolve client delivery queries.
• Identify and implement automation and AI-driven improvements in workflows.
• Build and maintain dashboards surfacing operational insights and metrics.
