Job summary

Unilever is seeking an Area Engineer for our Gateway, Cavite site. The role directs maintenance technicians and shifters to ensure safe, efficient work aligned with production goals.

You will train staff, drive reliability, and lead improvements using FI, PM, and CQ tools to reduce breakdowns and extend MTBF. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in maintenance within FMCG, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to set and enforce operating standards with data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in FMCG / related Industry.
• Significant hands-on maintenance experience.
• Professional Engineer status is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and data analysis skills.
• Ability to visualize the ideal production system and establish operating standards.

Responsibilities

• Coach and guide Maintenance Technicians within expected timelines to the required quality.
• Assess skills gaps and arrange training interventions.
• Provide equipment and training to ensure safe working practices and environmental standards.
• Eliminate Loss using PM, FI and QC pillar tools and methodologies.
• Ensure equipment availability to meet production plans by applying the PM Methodology.
• Review entries in maintenance systems for accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Implement preventive, predictive maintenance and automation improvements to increase MTBF.
