Job summary

Fontis Energy is seeking a junior equipment handler to assist with preparing downhole and drilling equipment for upcoming operations on site. You will conduct drills, perform safety checks, and participate in handovers at shift changes, ensuring all tools are inspected and loads are properly rigged.

Qualified candidates have 3 years in oil and gas, preferably with some on-site experience. Fluency in English is desirable, with a high school diploma or equivalent as a baseline educational

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably 1 year in the position.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all drills and checks as required.
• Preparation for upcoming drilling operations.
• Thorough handovers at each daily shift change.
• Inspect all tools and equipment prior to use for safe operation.
• Assist in well control drills as required.
• Ensure loads leaving the rig are properly slung and rigged.
• Assist in mud processing solids control equipment maintenance.
• Perform regular steel preparation and painting of rig floor equipment.
• Aid with deck operations as required.
• Assist Derrickman in mud mixing operations when required.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by Company Management
