Job summary

Fontis Energy seeks a capable Field Coordinator to assist the Driller in safe, efficient execution of all well and drilling activities. You will organize crews and equipment, monitor operations in the field, and ensure daily guidelines are followed.

This role requires hands‑on leadership, clear handovers, and timely documentation; ideal candidates have 5 years in oil drilling, well control training, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school degree or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in oil drilling industry, preferably 2 years in the role.
• Well control course completed.

Responsibilities

• Organizing crews and equipment for ongoing and upcoming operations.
• All relevant governing documents are adhered to by direct reports.
• All relevant governing documents are revised as required.
• Clear daily operational guidelines provided to direct reports.
• Plans for upcoming operations are shared with the crew.
• Visible leadership by time in the field and monitoring operations.
• Drills and checks are conducted as required.
• Reports and logs are maintained as required by Driller, client, and company.
• Thorough handovers at each shift change.

• Visible leadership by spending time in the field and monitoring daily operations.
• All drills and checks are conducted as required.
• All applicable reports and logs as required by Driller, client, and company are maintained.
• All drills and checks are conducted as required.
• Thorough handovers are provided at each daily change of shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferably a bachelor's degree: Hight school degree or any equivalent.
• Years of experience: 5 years’ experience in oil drilling related industry preferably 2 years on the position. Well control course.
