Job summary

HRTX is seeking a senior software engineering leader to guide backend teams in delivering scalable technology solutions from our Makati office. You will mentor developers, participate in code reviews, and influence architecture while aligning with product priorities and release plans.

The role requires strong communication and experience in backend stacks (Java, Golang, Node.js, Scala or equivalent) with a hands-on leadership approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in backend development with prior technical leadership experience.
• Familiarity with APIs, GitOps, and Agile software development practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; supply chain technology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor one or more software development teams while providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable technology solutions, actively contributing to coding, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical priorities, delivery roadmaps, and release timelines.
• Support Agile delivery by managing sprint planning, backlog refinement, and ensuring user stories are ready for development.
• Maintain engineering best practices by enforcing code quality standards, driving innovation, and improving development processes.
