Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a Retail Category Manager to oversee assigned categories—from sourcing and purchasing to assortment planning, pricing, inventory, promotions, and vendor management.

You will develop category strategies, analyze sales and inventory to drive profitability, lead sourcing and launches, and negotiate terms with suppliers while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in Category Management, Merchandising, Buying, Purchasing, or Retail.
• Strong skills in retail analysis, forecasting, inventory management, and vendor negotiation.
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and merchandising/business systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop category and assortment strategies aligned with sales, profitability, and inventory targets.
• Analyze sales, inventory, sell-through, aging, and market trends to identify opportunities and improve category performance.
• Lead product sourcing, pricing, promotions, product launches, and assortment development.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery, payment terms, and trade support, while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Accounting, and other teams to execute merchandising strategies and manage the merchandising support team.
