Job summary

MicroSourcing in Manila (Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City) is seeking a Resource Estimator (Mechanical) for a hybrid, day-shift role. You will review drawings, build maintenance work packs, and estimate labor, materials, and equipment.

You will coordinate with Perth-based estimators and Australian site management to resolve scope ambiguities and ensure proper documentation for work orders. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background, CMMS experience (SAP PM, Maximo, or Pronto Xi),

Qualifications

• Strong ability to read, interpret, and mark up P&IDs, Piping Isometrics, and Data Sheets.
• Proven experience compiling maintenance work packs with steps and materials.
• High-level English communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate offshore from Manila under Australian supervision.
• Keen eye for detail in documentation, markups, and cost calculations.

Responsibilities

• Markup and review mechanical drawings and P&IDs for accuracy.
• Assemble standard maintenance work packs with steps and tool lists.
• Estimate labor hours, skills, materials, and equipment per task.
• Draft and submit Engineering Queries to Australian site management.
• Request and evaluate supplier/contractor quotations for materials and services.
• Attach cost estimates and quotes to Work Orders for site release.

Your Role

As an Resource Estimator (Mechanical), you will:

• Piping & Mechanical Drawing Markup: Locate, review, and mark up technical engineering drawings, including P&IDs, Piping Isometrics, and Material Data Sheets.
• Work Pack Compilation: Build standard-form maintenance work packs complete with defined job execution steps, safety procedures, and required tooling/equipment lists.
• Labor & Material Estimating: Calculate required trade labor hours, skill requirements, material quantities, and specialized equipment needed to execute each task.
• Engineering Query (EQ) Raising: Draft and submit Engineering Queries to Australian site management to resolve scope ambiguities, design changes, or drawing discrepancies.
• Supplier & Contractor Procurement: Request, collect, and evaluate commercial quotations from third‑party suppliers and contractors for specialized materials and services.
• Work Order Administration: Ensure all technical documentation, cost estimates, and vendor quotes are properly formatted and attached to Work Orders for site release.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Mechanical & Piping Drawing Proficiency: Strong capability to read, interpret, and mark up P&IDs, Piping Isometrics, and Data Sheets for industrial facilities.
• Maintenance Estimating & Work Pack Development: Proven experience compiling maintenance work packs, defining execution steps, and estimating labor/material requirements.
• Technical Communication Skills: High‑level English communication skills to interact effectively with Perth‑based estimators, site engineers, and external vendors.
• Offshore Coordination & Collaboration: Ability to work independently from Manila while following strict guidelines and supervision provided by Australian operational management.
• Attention to Detail & Accuracy: High precision in documentation, engineering markups, material takeoffs, and cost estimation calculations.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Tertiary degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like SAP PM, Maximo, or Pronto Xi.
