Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Resource Estimator (Inlec) based in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City with hybrid work and day shift. You will identify and markup heavy engineering drawings, compile maintenance work packs, and estimate labor and material needs for maintenance orders.

You will also draft engineering queries, source third-party services, and ensure procedures and ITR mapping align with QA standards. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering drawing interpretation: read and interpret heavy industrial drawings (P&IDs, SLDs, Loop Diagrams, General Arrangements, Data Sheets).
• Maintenance estimating & work pack compilation: build packs with steps, safety procedures, tools, and ITRs.
• Labor/material estimating: calculate labor hours, skill sets, materials, and tooling for each Work Order.
• Engineering Queries: draft and submit queries to clarify ambiguous scopes or specs.
• Vendor sourcing: solicit and evaluate quotations for third-party contractor services and materials.

Your Role

As an Resource Estimator (Inlec), you will:

• Engineering Drawing Identification & Markup: Retrieve and mark up technical engineering drawings, including Loop Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Termination Drawings, General Arrangements, P&IDs, Location Diagrams, and Data Sheets.
• Work Pack Compilation: Build standard-form maintenance work packs containing step-by-step task instructions, safety procedures, tool/equipment requirements, and required ITRs.
• Labor & Material Estimating: Calculate labor hours, trade skill sets, material quantities, and specialized tooling needed for each maintenance Work Order.
• Engineering Query (EQ) Management: Draft and submit engineering queries to clarify ambiguous job scopes, technical specifications, or drawing discrepancies.
• Procurement & Third-Party Sourcing: Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations for third-party contractor services, specialized equipment, and replacement materials.
• Procedure & ITR Mapping: Review site maintenance manuals to select correct task procedures, quality assurance checklists, and Inspection and Test Records.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Strong proficiency reading and interpreting heavy industrial engineering drawings (P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, General Arrangements, Data Sheets).
• Maintenance Estimating & Work Pack Compilation: Proven experience building work packs, estimating labor/material requirements, and defining execution steps for industrial plant maintenance.
• ITR & Maintenance Procedure Knowledge: Familiarity with Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), Quality Assurance (QA) protocols, and standard operating procedures for electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation tasks.
• Offshore Stakeholder Communication: High-level English communication skills to collaborate with Perth-based lead estimators, site engineers, and third-party vendors.
• Technical Precision & File Management: Exceptional attention to detail in technical document control, engineering markups, and Work Order generation.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Tertiary qualifications or trade backgrounds in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Practical experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Pronto Xi.
• Experience raising and tracking Technical / Engineering Queries (EQs/RFIs) within an industrial project environment.
