Job summary

NZAB is seeking a Broker Assistant to manage residential loan files from handover to settlement, including document collection, lender submissions, and ongoing admin, with potential expansion to SMSF lending. You will liaise with clients, lenders and the principal to keep deals moving smoothly and ensure accuracy in Mercury and Connective.

The role emphasizes process ownership, attention to detail, and proactive communication, with autonomy to manage files end-to-end and escalate blockers early.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Connective (aggregator platform).
• Hands-on experience with Nexus Mercury (loan processing/CRM).
• Hands-on experience with AOL used by lenders for residential submissions.
• Solid understanding of the Australian residential mortgage process end-to-end.
• Attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies from checklists.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end residential loan files from handover to settlement.
• Collect, review, and upload client documentation on time.
• Prepare and submit loan applications via AOL.
• Track application progress and chase conditions toward settlement.
• Communicate with clients, lenders, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Maintain records in Mercury and Connective.
