Job summary

Raffles and Fairmont Makati in Manila, Philippines, are seeking a Reservations Officer to handle room inquiries, confirm availability, and process bookings in the Opera PMS system. You will upsell hotel facilities, coordinate with front desk, and maintain accurate guest records while delivering exemplary service for business and leisure guests.

Strong communication, detail orientation, and proficiency in MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is an asset.
• At least 1 year of reservations experience is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; service oriented and detail focused.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera property management software.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding room availability and rates; process reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the property management system.
• Maintain an efficient filing system of guest correspondence and relevant documents; assist with daily reports.
• Implement revenue management strategies such as upselling and facility recommendations; ensure accurate bookings for arrivals.

Job Description

• Answers phone calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding room availability and rates, processes room bookings, including reservations, cancellations, and modifications, and ensures that records are accurately encoded in the property management system.
• Maintains an efficient filing system of all guest correspondence and relevant documents, contracts, and assists with required daily reports.
• Implements revenue management selling strategies such as upselling, recommendation of hotel facilities, and restrictions for each property, and ensures accuracy for all bookings of arrivals.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree in Hospitality Management or any related field is an asset.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in reservations is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, service-oriented, and a keen sense of detail.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft applications and Opera property management software.
