Job summary

Primelab Cosmetics Manufacturing is seeking a Research & Development Specialist (Cosmetics & Personal Care) to join our Sta. Maria, Bulacan facility.

Onsite, full-time position focused on formulation, testing, and product development for skincare, haircare, and body care lines. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related science field and at least 2 years’ hands-on cosmetic formulation experience, preferably in an FDA-licensed cosmetic facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science field related to cosmetics formulation.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in cosmetic or personal care product formulation.
• Experience in FDA-licensed cosmetics manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetic raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, and formulation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and improve formulations for skincare, haircare, body care, and personal care products.
• Conduct laboratory formulation trials, prototype development, and product evaluations.
• Perform stability, compatibility, performance, and packaging compatibility testing.
• Evaluate new raw materials, active ingredients, and emerging formulation technologies.
• Troubleshoot formulation, processing, and production issues to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
• Prepare formulation records, technical documents, specifications, and product development reports.
• Support pilot batches, production scale-up, process validation, and technology transfer.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, QC, Regulatory, and Purchasing teams throughout product development.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, Biology, Chemical Technology, Food Technology, or any related science field.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in cosmetic or personal care product formulation.

• Experience in an FDA-licensed cosmetics manufacturing company is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of cosmetic raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, and formulation techniques.

• Experience in product development, stability testing, scale-up, and manufacturing support.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple R&D projects.

• Willing to work onsite in Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
