Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a Senior Specialist, Research & Data Services in Mexico City. You will deliver high-quality business research to support consulting teams, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and develop industry expertise in a global, team-oriented environment.

The role requires 4–10 years in business research, strong command of Spanish and English, and experience with research databases such as Factiva, Refinitiv, and S&P Capital IQ.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of experience conducting business research within consulting, market research, or professional services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver business research using desktop tools and databases to support consulting teams on client engagements.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand research objectives and provide insights.
• Develop expertise in assigned industries or practice areas while supporting a broad range of research requests.
• Build trusted relationships with internal clients by providing responsive service and incorporating feedback.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, process improvements, and innovation initiatives across the Research & Data Services team.
• Support maintenance and enhancement of research assets and information management processes.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and lead small-scale initiatives when appropriate.

As a Senior Specialist, Research & Data Services, you\'ll provide high-quality business research and information services that help Bain teams solve clients\' toughest challenges. You\'ll independently deliver short- to medium-term research projects, build expertise in designated practice areas, and contribute to the ongoing development of research capabilities, products, and services.

About you

Required qualifications

• 4 – 10 years of experience conducting business research within consulting, market research, professional services, or a similar environment.
• Strong experience using business research databases such as Factiva, LSEG/Refinitiv, S&P Capital IQ, and comparable research platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of commercial industries and economic topics, with the ability to quickly build expertise in new sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-cultural stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Working model

This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least two days per week.
