Job summary

Anypear is seeking a Structural BIM Designer for a remote Australia-based project. You will translate engineer markups into precise 3D models in Revit and AutoCAD, manage 2D drawings, and coordinate in Navisworks.

Responsibilities include clash detection, QA against Australian Standards, drafting PFDs/P&IDs in AutoCAD, and maintaining documentation. You will work independently across time zones and support the project team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years experience in drafting or engineering roles within mining/heavy industry/NPI sectors.
• Advanced skills in developing structural steel and concrete models in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Revit.
• Practical experience using Navisworks for viewing, clash detection, and model federation.
• Excellent technical writing skills for tender documents and reports.
• Ability to work independently with problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Word and Excel skills.
• Excellent English writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Revit Modelling: develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models for steel and concrete facilities.
• Design Translation: interpret and translate hand drawings, markups, and notes into 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Clash Detection & Coordination: federate models in Navisworks and perform clash detection.
• Quality Assurance: perform self-checks and peer reviews to meet standards and AS.
• Create and edit 2D PFDs and P&IDs and blocks in AutoCAD.
• Produce layout drawings and site masterplans for NPI.
• Draft, format, and edit engineering documents in Word.
• Maintain records in document control systems and manage Word/Excel formatting.
