Job summary

Staff X is seeking a dedicated Stormwater Engineer to support a civil and structural practice. You will focus on on-site detention, drainage reports, and council approvals for residential and light commercial projects in Greater Sydney, operating with autonomy from design through to approval.

You will work from a home office in the Philippines, handling projects for clients in Australia with a strong emphasis on stormwater strategies and OSD design.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of stormwater engineering as primary discipline
• Proven OSD design and drainage for residential and light commercial projects
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards and council drainage requirements

Responsibilities

• Design on-site detention systems for residential and luxury projects
• Prepare stormwater management strategies and drainage reports for residential and light commercial projects
• Navigate council drainage requirements across Greater Sydney LGAs
• Use DRAINS by Watercom as the primary modelling tool
• Liaise with councils and project architects to secure approvals
• Manage assigned project portfolio with autonomy from brief to submission
