Job summary

DOXA is seeking a Steel Checker to join our QA team, focusing on reviewing detailed drawings and shop drawings for steel structures and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and detailers to identify and correct errors before fabrication and construction.

The role requires 1 year of experience, Tekla Structures proficiency, and the ability to work in a multi-client environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 1 year of industry experience; 2D scrubbing experience; Tekla experience; multi-client environment exposure.

Responsibilities

• Verify fabrication drawings for errors and compliance with codes and standards (AISC, AWS).
• Review shop drawings for steel to confirm dimensions, welds, holes, and connections.
• Ensure 3D models are detailed to LOD 400 and clash-free.
• Perform weld, fastener, dimension, and tolerance verification; assess construction methods.
