Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking a Staff Accountant to support end-to-end accounting and month-end close for a portfolio of clients. You will own specific tasks and help maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.

This fully remote role involves collaborating with the Controller and the accounting team to ensure timely client deliverables, respond to client questions, and continuously improve accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience with transactional accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting methods relevant to ecommerce or CPG businesses.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, current records.
• Ability to manage deadlines, follow up on outstanding items, and proactively elevate issues.

Responsibilities

• Support or own end-to-end month-end close for an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Own specific accounting tasks within the month-end close cycle.
• Prepare and support the delivery of client accounting deliverables.
• Respond to client questions and follow up on outstanding items.
• Request, organize, and follow up on missing documentation from clients.
• Maintain clean, accurate records in accounting systems, including Double.
• Identify and elevate open items, roadblocks, and issues to the Controller.
• Support internal process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Work with the Controller to ensure engagements are completed on schedule.
