Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking a Senior Accountant to support end-to-end accounting and month-end close for a portfolio of clients. You will own assigned tasks, prepare client deliverables, respond to client questions, and maintain accurate financial records.

The Senior Accountant may work independently or act as Controller for an engagement, collaborating with the team to ensure timely and accurate closings. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, inventory and cost accounting, and ecommerce/CPG accounting is

Qualifications

Proficiency in inventory and cost accounting.
Experience with transactional accounting processes.
Advanced knowledge of ecommerce or CPG accounting.
Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
Ability to manage deadlines and proactively escalate issues.

Responsibilities

Support or own the end-to-end month-end close for an assigned portfolio of clients, including AP/AR and payroll-related tasks.
Own specific accounting tasks within the month-end close cycle.
Prepare and support delivery of client accounting deliverables.
Respond to client questions and follow up on outstanding items.
Request, organize, and follow up on missing documentation from clients.
Maintain clean, accurate records in accounting systems, including Double entry.
Escalate engagement-level issues and roadblocks to the Controller as deadlines approach.
Support internal process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Collaborate with the Controller and team to ensure engagements are completed accurately and on schedule.
