OpsArmy is seeking a Staff Accountant to support end-to-end accounting and month-end close for a portfolio of clients. This fully remote, full-time role will own tasks within the close cycle, deliver client accounting outputs, and maintain accurate financial records for ecommerce/CPG businesses.

The ideal candidate will have strong QBO skills, inventory and cost accounting experience, and a proven ability to manage deadlines and escalate issues proactively.

Qualifikationen

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience with transactional accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting methods relevant to ecommerce or CPG businesses.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, current records.
• Ability to manage deadlines, follow up on outstanding items, and proactively elevate issues.

Aufgaben

• Support or own the end-to-end month-end close for an assigned portfolio of clients, including AP, AR, and payroll-related tasks.
• Own specific accounting tasks within the month-end close cycle.
• Prepare and support the delivery of client accounting deliverables.
• Respond to client questions and follow up on outstanding items as needed.
• Request, organize, and follow up on missing documentation from clients.
• Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date records in accounting applications, including Double.
• Identify and elevate open items, roadblocks, and issues to the Controller in advance of deadlines.
• Support internal process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and other accounting team efforts.
• Work closely with the Controller and other team members to ensure engagements are completed accurately and on schedule.
