Job summary

Astound Digital in the Philippines is seeking a Senior SFCC Backend Developer to drive the architecture, development, and operation of server-side systems powering headless storefronts. Qualifications

• 3+ years SFCC experience in headless/OCAPI-driven architectures
• Design and implement SCAPI/OCAPI hooks to intercept and augment flows
• Extend backend to Backend-for-Frontend for mobile performance and offline-sync

Responsibilities

• Design, build and extend SFCC backend endpoints (OCAPI/SCAPI) for product, catalog, cart, checkout and customer data
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with distributed teams
• Provide accurate effort estimates and conduct code reviews
• Collaborate with frontend for API caching, CDN, Redis, and preload strategies
• Produce API specs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks for frontend-backend alignment
• Facilitate SFCC Jobs to support high-scale, real-time data availability
• Refactor legacy cartridges into modular services and write technical docs
• Translate complex logic into clear documentation for cross-team deployment
• Recommend workflow and testing framework improvements to accelerate delivery
