Job summary

Scale-X Solutions is seeking an experienced Services Specialist Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to support a Queensland project from a remote location. You will generate detailed Bills of Quantities for multiple trades, compare head contract and subcontractor documentation, and prepare variation reports to keep the project on track.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or related field.
• ,
• Minimum 3 years in services estimating or quantity surveying with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic exposure.
• Strong reading of services drawings and contract documentation.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Generate detailed Bills of Quantities for Head Contract across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services.
• Generate BoQs from current issue documentation for the same scope.
• Compare BoQs to identify design, quantity and scope differences between head contract and current docs.
• Prepare reports to support Head Contract variation submissions and provide substantiated documentation to Contracts Administration.
• Produce BoQs from subcontractor contracts and check against current documentation for coordinated scope.
• Identify discrepancies and report coordination gaps to Contracts Administration.
• Liaise with consultants and subcontractors to clarify quantity and scope requirements.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and design revisions.
• Track milestones and report BoQ variances; communicate updates to internal teams.
• Ensure quality and compliance of BoQ activities with project specs and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement in estimating processes and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
