Job summary

Tonic The Agency Pty Ltd is seeking a strong .NET engineer to ship quality code, design scalable backend systems, and actively use AI tools during development. You’ll work with our Australian team on long-term, full-time projects.

Based remotely from the Philippines, you’ll build APIs, backend services, and data models, with React on the frontend as needed, and align with AU engineers (AEST overlap). Salary ranges ₱150,000–₱200,000 monthly, plus paid leave, public holidays and a 13th month.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial experience with C# / .NET (Core / ASP.NET)
• Strong experience building APIs and backend systems
• Solid understanding of SQL and data modelling
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and testing practices
• Strong written and spoken English (client-facing at times)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern .NET applications (APIs, services, integrations)
• Design clean, scalable backend architecture (not just tickets)
• Improve code quality, performance, and test coverage
• Use AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development
• Contribute to technical decisions and system design
• Collaborate daily with an Australian team (AEST overlap)
