Job summary

My Digital Nomads is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker to join our fully remote, freelancer team. You will automate deployments, improve release pipelines, and ensure system reliability across a global operating model.

Join a diverse, distributed group and work with developers, QA, and IT operations. You will handle Level 1 sysadmin tasks during on-call rotations and contribute to security best practices and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

Experience with cloud services (AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure, GCP).
Good knowledge of Linux OS.
Scripting in Bash/Shell, Python, Perl or Ruby.
Deep experience with CI/CD and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of network security and monitoring (Grafana).
Level 1 Systems Administration experience and on-call readiness.
Excellent problem-solving and English communication in a global team.

Responsibilities

Automate and improve development and release processes.
Monitor and maintain system performance and reliability.
Collaborate with global teams, including developers, QA, and IT operations.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Analyse technology use and develop processes for improvement.
Provide Level 1 Systems Administration support as part of a paid on-call rotation.
