Canopy Fitouts, based in Melbourne, seeks a mid-senior Commercial Interior Designer or Interior Architect to support design and projects remotely from Metro Manila. You will translate client briefs into high-quality outcomes from concept through delivery, balancing aesthetics and functionality within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Independent Contractor for an Australian client.
• Qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• 3–5 years in commercial interior design/architecture.
• Experience delivering fitout projects from concept to delivery.
• 3+ years using Revit for development and documentation.
• Knowledge of National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
• Ability to develop client briefs and manage scope changes.
• Strong attention to detail across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts aligned with client briefs and brand identity.
• Create space plans considering functionality, traffic, accessibility and safety.
• Apply workplace strategy to boost productivity and wellbeing.
• Prepare mood boards, palettes, materials, finishes and furnishings specifications.
• Develop construction documentation communicating design intent to teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate with Design Manager and project team to review drawings and resolve queries.
• Research and select materials, furnishings, finishes aligned with budget and programme.
• Manage design scope changes with clear documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and deadlines.
