Job summary

OpsArmy Careers is seeking a Senior Accountant for ecommerce clients. This fully remote, full-time role handles end-to-end accounting and month-end close, owning tasks and delivering accurate financial records.

You will work with the Controller and team to ensure timely closes, respond to client questions, maintain up-to-date records in QuickBooks Online, and support process improvements across engagements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) required.
• Experience with inventory costing and cost accounting.
• Experience with transactional accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting methods for ecommerce/CPG.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to manage deadlines and escalate issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support or own end-to-end month-end close for an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Carry out specific accounting tasks within the month-end close cycle.
• Prepare and support delivery of client accounting deliverables.
• Respond to client questions and follow up on outstanding items.
• Request and organize missing documentation from clients.
• Maintain clean, accurate records in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
• Identify open items and escalate to the Controller before deadlines.
• Support internal process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the team.
• Collaborate with the Controller and team to ensure engagements are completed accurately and on schedule.
