Job summary

Hunt St is seeking a Senior Accountant based in the Philippines to support an Australian public practice as an independent contractor. The role focuses on core accounting and compliance work, with remote collaboration to ensure timely delivery for Australian clients.

You will work with Xero-based tools and related software, while maintaining a hands-on approach and independence in a remote setup. Prior Australian practice experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, Australian public practice preferred.
• Strong Xero stack knowledge (Tax, Ledger, XPM) and FYI Docs.
• Proficiency in Ignition, Adobe PDF and MS Office; AccountKit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for Australian clients.
• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including reconciliations and BAS prep.
• Work within Xero ecosystem to manage workflows and documentation.
• Liaise with onshore accountants to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
• Support the practice lead by improving workload efficiency.
