Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle patient calls related to outstanding balances.
• Transcribe voicemails from patients and return the patients' messages.
• Facilitate payments using client software application.
• Review records and process financial responsibility transfers.
• Check patient eligibility through insurance online website.
• Make payment plan arrangements for patients and small balance write-offs per guidelines.
• Escalate issues to Team Lead and/or Client when unresolved.
• Stay up to date with changes affecting client reimbursements.
• Understand how the medical insurance industry works.
• Thoroughly note all encounters/accounts worked.
• Maintain HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality.
• Read an Explanation of Benefit (EOB) to determine patient vs client liability.
