Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Medical Receptionist to support our US-based Neurology clinic. This remote role requires excellent communication, strong multitasking, and experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will manage appointments, insurance verification, referrals, and patient inquiries, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of virtual medical assistant experience with US clinics and familiarity with EMR

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant supporting a US-based clinic.
• Experience with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, medical terminology, and EMR systems.
• Experience managing referrals and coordinating patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Process medication prior authorization requests and communicate status.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to appointments.
• Receive, process, and track incoming/outgoing patient referrals and coordinate care.
• Answer inbound calls professionally and respond to patient inquiries.
