Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Medical Biller to join our mobile surgical physician wound care group expanding into new markets in the United States. This is a remote, work-from-home position. Graveyard US-hours shift and compensation of $5 per hour apply.

You will submit claims, follow up on denials, verify insurance, and respond to patient billing questions. Additional responsibilities include handling collections on unpaid accounts and coordinating with insurers and providers to ensure

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of medical billing experience required.
• Medical billing diploma or work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Lytec or Medisoft is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Use coded data to submit claims to insurance companies.
• Work with insurers, providers, and patients to process claims.
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and answer billing questions.
• Handle collections on unpaid accounts.
