Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Medical Biller to join our rapidly growing mobile wound care team; this is a remote role supporting US operations from the Philippines.

The position requires 1–2 years of medical billing experience, a diploma in medical billing (Lytec/Medisoft a plus), and strong Excel skills. It is a full-time, work-from-home, independent contractor role, with graveyard US hours and pay at $5 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of medical billing experience required.
• Medical billing diploma or work experience Lytec or Medisoft experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies.
• Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid.
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage.
• Handle collections on unpaid accounts.
