Qualifications

• 5+ years in loan operations or fintech operations.
• 5+ years of people management experience, ideally leading remote teams.
• Strong knowledge of loan lifecycle operations: verification, underwriting support, disbursements, servicing, disputes, exceptions.
• Hands-on experience with LOS/LMS or similar core servicing and payment platforms.
• Strong analytical and operational judgment with balanced speed, quality, and risk.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Loan Operations team across Loan Specialists, Underwriters, Team Leads, and support functions.
• Set daily/weekly priorities across queues based on volume, complexity, risk, and SLAs.
• Monitor backlog, aging cases, bottlenecks, turnaround times, and coverage risks; intervene as needed.
• Run team rhythms (huddles, reviews, performance check-ins) tied to measurable outcomes.
• Own operational execution across loan and payment products and workflows.
• Ensure readiness across onboarding, verification, underwriting support, disbursements, servicing, disputes, and exceptions.
• Oversee escalations; investigate disbursement issues, repayment problems, and system failures; drive root-cause fixes.
• Coach managers and contributors; set expectations on quality and ownership; support hiring and development.
• Maintain SOPs, controls, QA, and risk-awareness; collaborate on process changes before go-live.
• Own KPIs and portfolio health metrics; drive data-driven improvements; partner with analytics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Risk to translate policy changes into operational needs.
