Job summary

Vekend, Llc is seeking an experienced backend AI Engineer to join our AI, Insights, & Solutions team. You will collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to deliver reliable, production-grade backend systems and Generative AI applications, reporting to the engineering manager.

You will design RAG pipelines, orchestrate ML models, and create scalable APIs while working with stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into existing frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Python programming and backend development.
• Proficiency in SQL and Bash scripting.
• Strong background in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience with data science and machine learning, including feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-grade backend systems and Generative AI applications.
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
• Orchestrate machine learning models for optimal performance.
• Create and optimize scalable APIs to support business needs.
