CoverGo, a leading global no-code insurtech platform, seeks a legal professional to act as the main legal support to the CIO, Head of Security, and tech team, translating technical requirements into precise legal language.

You will draft, review, and negotiate DPAs, security addenda, and SaaS contracts, ensuring GDPR/local privacy compliance and advising on risks. Remote PH-based position.

Qualifications

• Must possess a legal degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Practitioner, Legal Assistant, Legal Officer, Paralegal, or similar role.
• Qualified to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (e.g., passed the Philippine Bar Examination).
• Experience handling tech, privacy or security matters is required; experience in a tech company is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Act as the main legal support to the CIO, Head of Security, and tech team; translate technical specifications into precise legal language.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technical agreements, including DPAs, Security Addenda, and SaaS-related contracts; review security policies and audit reports for risks.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR and local equivalents) and stay updated on privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and IP matters.
• Develop and implement internal processes and policies to meet technical and regulatory requirements.
• Support responses to data breaches and security incidents, including notification obligations and coordination with internal teams.
• Assist in responding to RFPs and client due diligence questionnaires, reviewing legal sections and stating CoverGo's positions.
• Draft, review, negotiate commercial agreements (SaaS, service, vendor) and advise teams on risks to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with Legal Counsel, internal teams, external counsel, and clients on other legal tasks as assigned.
